On May 20, 2008, in GPS, TRIMBLE, by Eric Edmonds

The GeoXH 2008 is one of most feature packed professional GPS units available today. We showed yesterday that it can provide accuracy down to decimeter level while using the Zephyr antenna kit. Here are some other things that are pretty nifty.

High resolution VGA screen

  • 3.5 inch VGA (480 x 640 pixel) display
  • For crisp and clear viewing of maps and data

Wireless connectivity

  • Wireless LAN (802.11b/g)
  • Bluetooth
    • Cell phones for Internet connection to get VRS corrections for real-time high accuracy and/or background data
    • GeoBeacon receiver for cable free corrections
    • Laser-rangefinders and barcode scanners

Ruggedized

  • Integrated stylus so it can’t be dropped or misplaced
  • Slip-resistant grip, shock, and vibration resistant
  • Integrated Li-ion battery good for a full day’s work in the field

Windows Mobile version 6 operating system

All in all, this is a powerful unit.  For more info, contact GEO-Jobe at 615-883-0085.
