GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting, using new technology and strategic business alliances, is successfully answering the Nations call for Emergency Disaster Management Solutions. Business partner W.A.R.N. (Wide Area Rapid Notification) and GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting have recently been awarded three national contracts to implement W.A.R.N. Command and Broadcast systems using the GEO-Jobe Notify Toolbar.
• The City of Oak Ridge, TN recently implements both W.A.R.N. Command and W.A.R.N. Broadcast. Coupled with GEO-Jobe’s GEO-Powered.com Internet application, the City of Oak Ridge now has to ability to send out an emergency alert message to every citizen from any location that there is an Internet connection. The City of Oak Ridge is now better prepared to protect the people of the city in the event of a disaster.
• Yuba County, California recently chooses GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting to implement an Early Warning Notification System for the entire Yuba County area. Marysville, CA is the county seat of Yuba County seated in Northern California. The County is implementing the W.A.R.N. system using multiple GEO-Jobe Notify Toolbars.
• Birmingham, AL awards the GEO-Jobe GIS Consulting / W.A.R.N. partnership the sole contract to build a system capable of alerting all citizens and emergency personnel within minutes in the event of a disaster. Birmingham is using GEO-Jobe’s GEO-Powered.com Internet application combined with W.A.R.N. Command and W.A.R.N. Broadcast.
The City of Oak Ridge, City of Clinton, Roane and Anderson Counties have joined together to publish GIS data on the internet utilizing GEO-Jobe’s GEOpowered Internet mapping product. With The City of Oak Ridge sharing both the Roane and Anderson County line, officials believe a shared Internet Mapping solution would be a more efficient way to deliver GIS data to its citizens. The site will consist of several access points depending on which government website the user is coming from, while the Internet Mapping Site will be utilizing the same GIS data maintained by each entity.
